Investments in Government Securities for Citizens
The National Assembly has included the second reading of amendments to the State Debt Act in its agenda. The main goal is to allow individuals to invest in government securities (GS) without paying fees and commissions upon primary acquisition.
The Ministry of Finance will create a specialized information system to facilitate citizens' access to investment instruments.
Key Highlights of the Parliamentary Agenda:
- Public Finance Audits: Three audits by the National Audit Office are planned – of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, the Ministry of Finance, and the Road Infrastructure Agency.
- Personnel Changes in the NHIF: Members of Parliament will vote on the resignations of Petko Stefanovski and Momchil Mavrov, as well as the candidacy of Asen Medzhidiev for Deputy Governor of the Fund.
- Parliamentary Control: A hearing of the Minister of Interior, Ivan Demerdzhiev, regarding flights involving private aircraft is included.
- Security: Review of documentation related to the activities of Prof. Momchil Mavrov, at the request of "Democratic Bulgaria".
The weekly program also includes discussions on amendments to the Ministry of Interior Act, with Friday set aside for regular parliamentary control and blitz control.
