The Council of Ministers took an important step in support of Ukrainian refugees by approving financial assistance worth 2,104,020 leva. The decision was made at a meeting on July 21, 2025, with the specific goal of providing humanitarian support to citizens under temporary protection in Bulgaria.

The allocated funds are intended to cover applications submitted between July 1 and July 31, 2024. The financing covers exactly 100 approved applications, which guarantee social and material support for Ukrainian citizens in need.

The program includes comprehensive assistance covering basic life needs - rent payment, food provision, and satisfaction of basic household needs. Priority is placed on support in the hospitality and social sectors, which demonstrates the large-scale humanitarian commitment of the Bulgarian state.
