Recognition for DARA's musical triumph
The Chairman of the Sofia Municipal Council, Tsvetomir Petrov, has officially proposed that the winner of "Eurovision 2026" – DARA, be awarded the title of "Honorary Citizen of Sofia". Along with her, the distinction "Honorary Sign of the Sofia Municipality" is proposed for the production company "Virginia Records".
"This is recognition of the talent, effort, and significant contribution to contemporary Bulgarian culture," stated Petrov.
Sofia as host of Eurovision 2027
DARA's victory places Sofia at the center of European attention. Petrov emphasizes that a potential hosting in 2027 – exactly 20 years after Bulgaria's accession to the EU – would be a landmark event.
