Pomorie Municipality is once again joining the largest volunteer initiative in the country, "Let's Clean Up Bulgaria Together," which will take place on Saturday, September 20, 2025. This year, almost all settlements in the municipality have registered and will actively participate, which underscores the growing commitment of the local community to environmental protection.
The initiative, which has established itself as one of the most significant civic events in Bulgaria, aims not just to collect waste but to build long-term public awareness and responsibility. Over the past years, it has managed to transform the attitudes of millions of people, with over 3,400,000 volunteers having participated in the annual editions of the campaign to date. Their efforts have led not only to a cleaner environment but also to a tangible change in the mentality of citizens and organizations. More and more of them are taking their own, independent actions for a more sustainable and responsible attitude towards nature, becoming a driver of positive change.
How to Participate?
The autumn day of September 20 will be filled with activity and enthusiasm throughout the municipality. Volunteers of all ages — from children and families to employees of companies and organizations — will unite for the common cause. The cleanup locations have already been determined, and the local administration is ready to provide the necessary support.
"Let's Clean Up Bulgaria Together" is held within the framework of World Cleanup Day, thus connecting with the global movement "Let's Do It World." This global event unites millions of people around the planet in their pursuit of a cleaner environment, proving that caring for nature knows no boundaries.
In connection with the upcoming event, Pomorie Municipality has formed a specialized working team that will be responsible for coordinating the organizational and technical aspects. Those wishing to join the large-scale event have the opportunity to request the necessary number of bags and gloves until 12:30 PM on Friday, September 19, 2025.
During the campaign itself, participants will be able to inform the team about the locations where waste has been collected, again at the specified phone numbers. This coordinated approach will ensure the effective collection and removal of the garbage.
