Four of the five candidates for manager of the MBALDB “Sveta Anastasia” are continuing the race in the competition. This became clear today, February 26, after the submitted proposals were opened in the presence of all candidates.
After a thorough review of the documents, it became clear that Dr. Ventsislav Dimov, Dr. Toma Tomov, Dr. Blagomir Zdravkov, and Dimitar Pomakov meet the requirements for participation in the competition. Donka Zheleva was not admitted to the next stage, as she does not possess the necessary medical or economic education, which is a requirement for participation.
The Commission for the election of a manager, chaired by municipal councilor and chairman of the Permanent Commission on Healthcare, Dr. Lidia Stefanova, secretary Zlatina Georgieva – chief legal counsel of Burgas Municipality, and members: Dr. Georgi Pazderov - director of RZI Burgas, Dr. Zheni Stoichkova – chairman of the RC of BLS Burgas, and Prof. Dr. Tsvetomir Lukanov – head of the Clinic of Pediatric Cardio-surgery at the University Hospital Heidelberg, Germany, is to review and evaluate the submitted projects for the Hospital's Management Program. Only candidates who have received an average score above 4.50 will be admitted to an interview with the Commission.
After completing its work, the Commission will present the chosen candidate and will propose to the Municipal Council of Burgas to approve the selection made by it.
ABOUT THE CANDIDATES:
Dr. Ventsislav Dimov graduated in medicine in December 2014 in Pleven. From July 2015, he began a specialization in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at the Military Medical Academy. He has participated in military missions abroad. A doctor with over 10 years of experience in university, military, and specialized medical institutions. He holds professional qualification in Health Management.
Dr. Toma Tomov graduated in medicine at the Medical University of Sofia in 2008. He has specialties in infectious diseases and Clinical Laboratory. He has worked in the department "Infectious Diseases, Parasitology and Tropical Medicine" at MU-Sofia, in the Department for patients with immune deficiency at the Specialized Hospital for Active Treatment of Infectious and Parasitic Diseases “Prof. Iv. Kirov”. Since 2016, he has been part of the team of the Clinical Laboratory and Clinical Pharmacology at UMBAL "Alexandrovska". Since March 2020, he has been the head of the Infectious Diseases Department for the treatment of patients with Covid-19 and the chief secretary of the medical institution. He has been twice deputy minister of health in the caretaker cabinets of St. Yanev and G. Donev. Lecturer at MU Sofia, he holds professional qualification in Health Management.
Dr. Blagomir Zdravkov is an anesthesiologist-reanimator, specialist in aviation medicine. He graduated in medicine from the Medical University of Sofia in 2009. He has worked at UMBAL St. Anna Sofia, UMBAL Alexandrovska, UMBAL Tsaritsa Yoanna-ISUL, National Cardiology Hospital Sofia, UMBALSM “Pirogov”. Since April 2021, he is the executive director of the Specialized Hospital for Active Treatment of Children's Diseases “Prof. Ivan Mitev”. Honorary lecturer in the Department of Pediatrics, MU Sofia. Master in Health Management.
Dimitar Pomakov holds a master's degree in mechanical engineering and metals and a master's degree in economics and organization of production and management in industry. He holds the acquired right of a specialist in health economics at MU Sofia. He has been the director of the United Regional Hospital Targovishte and the manager of MBAL “Sv. Ivan Rilski” in Elhovo.
