Students from "Geo Milev" English Language School marked May 24th with a gesture of kindness
On the occasion of the Day of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius, of the Bulgarian alphabet, education and culture, and of Slavic literature, 10th-grade students from the "Geo Milev" English Language School in Burgas visited the "St. Nicholas the Wonderworker" Day Care Center for children with disabilities.
The initiative was led by Mrs. Maria Panteleeva (psychologist) and Mrs. Plamena Peneva (pedagogical advisor). The purpose of the visit was for the young people to share the festive spirit with the users of the social services and to convey their message of humanity, attention, and mutual respect.
"May 24th is a day that reminds us that knowledge and spirituality have real value only when they are shared with others."
Key highlights of the initiative:
- Connection between generations: Encouraging social engagement among young people.
- The power of the word: Emphasizing the importance of Bulgarian literacy and culture through good deeds.
- Shared hope: Creating a sense of community and warmth among the children at the center.
Such meetings leave a lasting mark, reminding us that education is not just theory, but an act of empathy and kindness toward every person.
