The Executive Director of Bulgargaz, Veselin Sinabov, announced that the company is offering a natural gas price of 32.60 euros per megawatt-hour (MWh) for March, excluding access, transmission, excise duty, and VAT. Sinabov participated in the open meeting of the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (EWRC), where the supplier's proposal for the next month was discussed.

The initial price that Bulgargaz declared for March was 32.85 euros, but today Sinabov announced that the company is offering a lower price. He justified this with a decrease in delivery requests from some clients for March.

BTA recalls that the EWRC approved a natural gas price for February of 32.30 euros per megawatt-hour, excluding access, transmission, excise duty, and VAT. This means that the price offered today by Bulgargaz for March is 0.93 percent higher.

For comparison, in March 2023, the price at which the company sold natural gas was 87.58 leva or 44.79 euros per megawatt-hour, i.e., the offered price for March this year is 36.35 percent lower.

The EWRC is to make a final decision on the price of natural gas in March at a closed meeting on February 27th.
