Burgas Talents Triumph at International Art Competition

Four young talents from Burgas won awards at the Kanagawa Biennial in Japan. The students from the art school demonstrated high talent, and their instructor received recognition. The exhibition is touring Japan until March 2026.

Four young talents from Burgas triumphed on the international stage, solidifying the city's position as a center for artistic development. The students of the art school at the Center for Personal Development Support in Burgas won significant awards at the XXIIIrd edition of the prestigious international competition Kanagawa Biennial World Children"s Art Exhibition, which took place in 2025 in Japan.

After fierce competition, Anna-Liza Noykova, Boris Yankov, Ivanina Petkova, and Petra Landzheva earned their place among the best young artists in the world. Their works were highly praised by the competition jury, which reflects not only their talent, but also the strong preparation they receive in the Burgas school.

The leader of the talented children, Mrs. Sevina Traykova, also received deserved recognition. The organizers of the competition sent a congratulatory letter reflecting the recognition of her contribution to the development of young talents.

The event, which took place in Kanagawa Prefecture on July 19, 2025, attracted huge attention. Thousands of artistic works, a total of 10,742, from 71 countries participated in the competition. After the awards ceremony, the exhibition with the awarded works began a journey across Japan. The exhibition is scheduled to tour the country from September 2025 to March 2026, providing an opportunity for the wider public to enjoy children's creativity from all over the world.

The International Biennial in Kanagawa has a long and significant history. It was founded in 1981, as part of the initiatives for "Civil Diplomacy_q_, marking the International Year of the Child in 1979. The competition is held every two years, bringing together young talents from different cultures. Its goal is to promote cultural exchange, mutual understanding and creativity among young artists.

It is worth noting that the awarded children are not only a source of pride for Burgas, but also an example of dedication and striving for improvement. We wish them much more inspiration and future success.
