A total of 88 educators from kindergartens and schools in Burgas were officially recognized for their high professional achievements at a solemn ceremony organized by the Municipality of Burgas on the occasion of May 24 – the Day of the Bulgarian Alphabet, Education and Culture.
Recognition for the teaching profession in Burgas
"Trust is not measured only by grades, but by the love and respect of our children for the work you do," shared Mayor Dimitar Nikolov.
The event brought together the elite of the educational community, with awards distributed in three key categories:
- "Young Hope of Education" – for promising teachers with an innovative approach.
- "Lifetime Achievement and Enlightener Spirit" – for long-standing dedication to the profession.
- "Innovator in Education" – for implementing modern practices in the classroom.
The ceremony was part of the city's festive program, and among the official guests were District Governor Diko Gradev and the head of the Regional Department of Education-Burgas, Valentina Kamalieva, who also presented the honorary "Neofit Rilski" awards.
