Every year, a spiritual journey unites hundreds of Orthodox believers from Southern Bulgaria on a significant day in the church calendar, dedicated to the prophet Elijah.

The Burgas Orthodox Metropolis initiated its traditional pilgrimage to one of the most significant spiritual centers in the region – the "St. Elijah" monastery. The event, which started on July 24, attracts hundreds of followers from various parts of Southern Bulgaria.

The participants in the religious event united around a common prayer for health, family well-being, and spiritual elevation. The liturgy was the central moment in the annual ritual, which has deep theological roots connected to the veneration of the prophet Elijah.

The church organizers emphasized the exceptional importance of such spiritual initiatives for strengthening the Orthodox community identity. The event not only preserves religious traditions but also creates a space for emotional and spiritual connectivity among believers.
