Residents of Burgas with mobility issues have the opportunity to apply for the National Program for Accessible Housing and Personal Mobility of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy for 2026. The program provides for the construction and installation of ramps, lifting platforms and elevators to ensure an accessible environment for housing.
From 2019 to 2025, Burgas Municipality has implemented 83 ramps and lifting platforms under the program. Mayor Dimitar Nikolov noted that the program allows people with disabilities to move freely outside their homes.
Burgas Municipality, for the eighth consecutive year, offers free assistance and support to those wishing to apply. It undertakes the preparation of investment projects and their submission to the MLSP.
The deadline for submitting documents to Burgas Municipality is March 31. Documents are accepted at: 24 Sheynovo St., fl. 3, room 315, tel.: 056 907 461.
Homeowners' associations in the block of flats and owners of single-family residential buildings with permanently disabled persons can also apply for funding.
The deadline for submitting applications to the MLSP is May 11, 2026.
