Burgas gathers young talents from 9 countries for the "Whoever Saves One Human Life" contest

On May 24, Burgas will become a center of humanity with the 13th edition of the international "Alef" contest. Young artists from 9 countries will honor the heroes of salvation.

International Forum for Humanity and Art in Burgas

On May 24, the NHK Cultural Center in Burgas will host the award ceremony for the 13th edition of the prestigious international literary and film competition "Whoever Saves One Life, Saves the World Entire". The event is organized by the Center for Jewish-Bulgarian Cooperation "Alef".

"Humanity in the Leading Role" is the motto of this year's edition, which brought together over 140 young people from 9 countries.

32 laureates whose works were selected by an international jury will arrive for the finals in Burgas. Its members include prominent figures such as actor Dimitar Marinov, writer Georgi Bardarov, and Ivana Marksfeldová.

Alley of Humanity in the Sea Garden

The culmination of the "Friendship – Meaning and Salvation" festival will leave a lasting mark on the city. In the Sea Garden, the "Alley of Humanity" will be inaugurated with the planting of magnolias in memory of individuals who showed exceptional courage.

Burgas is becoming the first city in Bulgaria to create a dedicated space to honor the rescuers of human lives.
