The Return of the Legend: Burgas Blues Fest 2026
The Municipality of Burgas is pleased to announce the long-awaited return of the "Burgas Blues Fest" – a musical event that has left an indelible mark on the city's cultural history. On August 21, 2026, the open-air stage in the Sea Garden will come alive once again to the sounds of blues music, and, as tradition dictates, admission will be free.
"Burgas Blues Fest" is not just a concert, but a cause that preserves the spirit of an era and the memory of the iconic Burgas musician Plamen Stavrev.
History and Tradition
The festival dates back to 1994, when Plamen Stavrev, together with Stefan and Sonya Koradovi, laid the foundations of this cult event. Over the years, the festival has become a magnet for thousands of fans, presenting legends such as Georgi Minchev, Vasko Krapkata, and Vili Kavaldzhiev.
Headliner Vasko Krapkata
This year's edition is special, as Vasko Krapkata himself will take the stage. As a living legend of Bulgarian blues and a close friend of the festival, he will perform hits that are part of the golden fund of Bulgarian music:
- "Let There Be Light"
- "Bureaucrat"
- "Sunny Beach Blues"
- "Day After Day"
We look forward to the full program with the participation of more Bulgarian and international artists soon. Be a part of the musical history of Burgas!
