BG ALERT was activated due to intense rainfall, while the sky over Burgas darkened with heavy clouds. The regional governor of the city took decisive measures, activating the early warning system and imposing a temporary closure of a key road artery.

Main road II-99, connecting Burgas, specifically the Kraimorie quarter, with the picturesque Sozopol, remains closed. The decision was made to ensure the safety of travelers until the intense rainfall stops and the waters recede.

The air was heavy, saturated with moisture, while reporters were covering the situation. The rain poured relentlessly, turning the streets into rivers. It was obvious that the situation required attention and quick action.

The authorities announced an alternative route for traffic through the village of Marinka, so that drivers can bypass the closed section. A warning has been issued to citizens to carefully follow the instructions of the local authorities on the ground.

The situation in the municipality of Tsarevo, however, seems even more serious. The municipality declared a state of emergency on its territory.

Reports of the evacuation of people from potentially dangerous areas add further drama to what is happening. Undoubtedly, the authorities have mobilized all available resources to deal with the difficult situation and to protect the population.
