The Vascular Surgery Clinic at UMBAL Burgas is organizing free examinations and tests for people at high risk of atherosclerosis. Atherosclerosis is a vascular disease that can lead to serious complications such as stroke and heart attack.
When: The examinations will take place between December 1 and 9, from 12 to 2 p.m., on weekdays.
For whom: The examinations are intended for people at high risk of atherosclerosis, including smokers, diabetics, people with overweight, high blood pressure, elevated bad cholesterol and triglycerides, with a family history, frequent alcohol consumption, and over 45 years of age.
Symptoms: Some worrying symptoms such as dizziness, tinnitus, impaired balance, numbness in the extremities, muscle weakness, pain in the limbs when walking, and cold extremities can be signs of atherosclerosis.
Where: The examinations will be held at the Vascular Surgery Clinic of UMBAL Burgas (next to the Infectious Diseases Department).
How to register: It is mandatory to book an appointment in advance by calling 0879357681 (active from 12 to 4 p.m. on weekdays). A referral from a general practitioner is not required.
