A Bulgarian talent triumphs at an international art forum

A young talented artist from Burgas achieves a remarkable success in a prestigious art competition with international participation, representing Bulgaria among 17 countries.

Dima Makreva, a student of the Personal Development Center in Burgas under the guidance of Sevina Traykova, won first place in the jubilee 20th edition of the International Art Contest "In My Homeland", which was held in Belarus.

The forum attracted an impressive collection of 6,500 artworks, bringing together artists from diverse geographical latitudes – from Eastern Europe through Asia to Southern Europe. Among the participating countries were Russia, China, India, Turkey, Bulgaria, and other countries from a total of 17 national representations.

The jury awarded 1,419 works with diplomas, demonstrating exceptionally high quality of the artistic submissions. During the official ceremony, the Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of Belarus, Ivan Prikhodko, emphasized the educational and upbringing value of the contest.

The event highlighted the importance of environmental education among the younger generation and the encouragement of a responsible attitude towards the natural environment through art.
