The Bulgarian passport ranked 14th in the world ranking Henley Passport Index – a prestigious rating for international travel opportunities. According to the current data, citizens of Bulgaria have the right to free visits to 178 countries without a visa, and in another 50 countries they can obtain a visa on arrival – "this places Bulgaria in one of the leading places in Europe in terms of mobility and opportunities for world tourism".

"The Bulgarian passport is becoming more and more attractive, both for native citizens and for representatives of the diaspora. This is a huge advantage for work, education and business, as well as for Bulgarians who live and work abroad," international analysts note.

Henley Passport Index makes a comparative analysis of the passports of 199 countries in relation to the number of countries that can be traveled to without a visa regime. "Bulgaria ranks its citizens alongside the European leaders in freedom of movement," comments international law expert Kristina Valcheva.

In today's conditions of globalization and active tourist exchange, mobility is an important economic and social privilege. According to statistics, Bulgarians are increasingly taking advantage of these advantages – both for people with international professions, and for family and student trips.
