Bulgarian Railways and Pakistani partners expand trade networks

A memorandum of cooperation between Bulgarian State Railways and a Pakistani logistics company combines transport opportunities for more efficient trade exchange between the two countries.

The national railway carrier "BDZ - Freight Transport" EOOD officially entered into a strategic partnership with the Pakistani trade and logistics company Real Change LTD, the company's official press center announced.

During a working meeting at the BDZ Holding headquarters, representatives of both organizations signed a Memorandum of Understanding, which provides for deepening trade relations between the Republic of Bulgaria and Pakistan.

The document was signed by the manager of the Bulgarian company, Eng. Dian Boev, and the executive director of the Pakistani company, Muhammad Feroz Faruk. The diplomatic meeting was also attended by the Pakistani Ambassador to Bulgaria Modasar Chaudry, Deputy Minister Lyuben Nanov, BDZ Holding Executive Director Martin Angelov, and Dr. Lyudmil Ivanov.

The agreement provides for interaction in several key areas - carrying out railway freight transport, exchange of professional experience, and optimization of international trade operations.

The Pakistani partners committed to simplifying administrative procedures for commercial activities, while the Bulgarian side declared readiness for logistics support in transporting goods to Bulgaria and European Union countries.

In parallel, the Minister of Transport Grozdan Karadjov announced an upcoming large-scale restructuring of "BDZ-Freight Transport", which includes reducing costs and a comprehensive analysis of freight tariffs.
