Bulgarian firefighters returned from Spain after a successful mission against forest fires

After four weeks of intensive work in the Kingdom of Spain, the Bulgarian ground forest fire extinguishing module successfully returned to the country with the assistance of military aviation.

Heroic return from the front line

The Bulgarian ground forest firefighting module has successfully completed its mission in the Kingdom of Spain. The teams were transported back by a "Spartan" aircraft of the Bulgarian Air Force.

The firefighters were officially welcomed by the Director of the General Directorate for Fire Safety and Civil Protection, who expressed his appreciation for the efforts made in the fight against the fiery element.

Over the course of four weeks, two shifts of 20 Bulgarian firefighters each worked side by side with Spanish authorities, tackling numerous critical forest fires.
