Head coach Rosen Barchovski officially announced the roster of the men's national basketball team for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers in Qatar 2027. The team faces the challenge of proving itself in the second round of Group F.
The first match is scheduled for August 6 (Wednesday) in the Austrian city of Schwechat, with the match starting at 20:20 Bulgarian time. Fans will be able to watch the game live on bTV Action.
The final roster includes 12 basketball players, among whom are Borislav Mladenov, Brandon Young, Alexander Stoimenov, and others. Luchezar Toshkov, Georgi Gerganov, and Hristo Barchkov were left out of the group. An additional challenge for the team is the absence of Alexander Vezenko, whose participation is still uncertain.

The national team will travel to Vienna on August 5 at 12:25, with a planned return on August 7. The next match is against the Netherlands on August 9 (Saturday) at the "Arena SamElion" at 18:00.
The team's schedule also includes a home game against Austria at the "Arena Botevgrad" and a final match against the Netherlands on August 20 in Almere. The team's goal is to perform successfully in these qualifying matches.
