The Bulgarian men's national volleyball team (formation B) held bilateral friendly matches with the team of the Republic of North Macedonia on July 29 and 30 at the Levski Sofia Hall. Under the guidance of the coaching tandem Francesco Molo and Teodor Bogdanov, the Bulgarian athletes demonstrated different game dynamics in the two consecutive matches.

In the first match, the Macedonian volleyball players decisively prevailed with an impressive 4:0 sets. The next day, the Bulgarian team showed significantly improved tactical preparation and managed to take revenge on their opponents, beating them with the same 4:0 sets result.

These control matches served as the first opportunity to check the progress made during the training process. The national team is preparing for the upcoming participation in the memorial friendly tournament "Chaika", which will be held in Skopje between August 5 and 7.

Three national formations will participate in the tournament: Bulgaria (B team), North Macedonia, and Switzerland. The program provides for two matches with Bulgarian participation: on August 6 at 19:00, Bulgaria meets Switzerland, and on August 7 at 19:00, the match between North Macedonia and Bulgaria will take place.
