Alexander Bozhilov triumphed with the top honor in the elite men's category during the World Cup for Triathlon Development in the Serbian region of Vlasina, official representatives of the national federation informed.
Among the most notable achievements is the performance of 17-year-old Mirolyuba Nenkova, who impressed with her second place among women, overtaking several more experienced competitors. Anastasia Peycheva finished in the prestigious fifth position among a total of 12 participants, while Mira Georgieva placed sixth, competing outside her age group.
In the men's championship, Simeon Bobekov took eighth position among a total of 39 competitors, followed by Petar Bozhilov in 21st place, Preslav Kushev in 23rd, and Boyan Kirilov in 33rd place.
At the parallel Triathlon Sprint Cup 2025 tournament in Kosovo, Boris Andreev achieved a remarkable gold medal, returning after a long recovery from a serious sports injury. Simeon Ivanov complemented the Bulgarian success with a silver distinction.
The youth national team also recorded a strong performance, with Valentin Iliev winning the championship title and Krasimir Georgiev securing a silver medal in the youth category.
