Stuttgart, Germany – The Bulgarian Sports Dance Federation marked yet another historic success, as four of its best representative couples returned with an impressive number of medals from one of the most prestigious competitions in the world calendar – the German Open Championship, which was held in Stuttgart. With this triumph, the dancers from Sports Dance Club "Pomorie" once again solidified Bulgaria's name among the elite nations in the world of sports dancing.
Yulian Ganev and Antonia Georgieva with historic gold
The epicenter of the brilliant performance was the couple Yulian Ganev and Antonia Georgieva, who achieved the country's greatest accomplishment. They managed to win the coveted gold medal in the children's 1, standard dances category. This achievement is of exceptional historical significance, as they became only the second Bulgarian couple to win such an honor at this prestigious event. In addition to their gold medal, the talented dancers also added a silver in the six dances discipline, demonstrating their versatility and virtuosity. To cement their place among the world elite, they ranked a prestigious fourth in the Latin American dances competition.
The performance of Iliya Zelyamov and Alexa Mechkova was also exciting, as they once again proved their talent. The couple, who are well-known for their historic double gold triumph from two years ago, once again showed class and perseverance, climbing to the second step of the podium. They won silver medals in the children's 2, Latin American dances category. Alex Kostadinov and Ioana-Maria Iordache also had a worthy performance.
