From October 2, 2025, a change in citizen services is observed in the big cities of Bulgaria. "Bulgarian Posts" announced the restoration of the bill payment service to the energy company "Energo-Pro" in its post offices. The announcement, made by the company's press center, comes against the backdrop of important regulatory decisions in the energy sector.
Representatives of the Commission for Energy and Water Regulation (KEVR) informed in September about decisions related to the compensations for August 2025. These compensations aim to support household end customers by covering part of their expenses for purchased electricity from the end suppliers.
The regulator clarifies that for the period from August 1 to 31, the amount of the compensation is determined at 49.55 leva per megawatt-hour (excluding VAT) for the household customers of "Energo-Pro". This decision has a direct bearing on the financial burden of households and is of essential importance for the stability of the energy market. The effects of this decision are expected to be felt by consumers in the coming months.
