Bulgarian basketball players attack the European Championship in Hungary

The national women's basketball team under 20 years old set off for a major championship in Miskolc with an ambitious squad of 11 players.

Coach Margarita Marinkova officially announced the final roster of the Bulgarian women's national basketball team for the upcoming European Championship in Division "B", which will be held in the Hungarian city of Miskolc.

The team has already arrived at the championship venue, which will take place from August 2 to 10. Bulgaria is placed in Group A, where they will compete with the teams of Serbia, Denmark, and Albania.

The Bulgarian basketball players have an extremely tight schedule during the championship. Their start is already tomorrow (Saturday) with a match against Serbia at 18:30 Bulgarian time. The next day they will play against the Danish national team at 21:00, and on August 4 they have a match with the Albanian team at the same time.

Coach Marinkova has selected an extremely diverse and talented squad of 11 players with different heights and positions. Among the chosen are:

• Denitsa Manolova (Rilski Sportist) - wing, 181 cm
• Ivana Boneva (Rilski Sportist) - attacking guard, 175 cm
• Gergana Tsekova (Montana 2003) - wing, 180 cm
• Gergana Madankova (Beroe Stara Zagora) - guard/wing, 177 cm

Among the taller players are Yana Karamfilova from South Florida with the impressive 192 cm, Silviya Milenova (Septemvri 97) also with 192 cm, and Mila Krasteva from the USA - heavy wing/center with 182 cm.

The team also includes players who are developing abroad such as Angela Stambolyan from Italy and Yana Karamfilova from South Florida, which further increases its international potential.

The Bulgarian women's national basketball team under 20 years old is ready to defend its prestige on the European stage in Miskolc.
