Bulgarian banks are introducing a new donation service based on the blink instant transfer system by mobile number (P2P). The service allows users to donate funds quickly, easily, and without a fee, directly through their bank's mobile application.
The initiative is supported by leading financial institutions such as United Bulgarian Bank (UBB), DSK Bank, UniCredit Bulbank, First Investment Bank, TBI Bank, TFS and iBank. Other banks are expected to join soon.
The service was developed by the National Card and Payment Scheme and implemented by BORICA. The first charitable initiative registered for it is “Bulgarian Christmas”.
Non-governmental organizations can contact the National Card and Payment Scheme or their servicing bank to accept donations.
All donation transfers up to 300 BGN are free.
The service is based on blink P2P technology and is expected to boost donation activity.
