The management of the Civil Aviation Administration (CAA) has issued an official recommendation to all Bulgarian air carriers to temporarily suspend their flights to and from destinations in the Middle East. The reason is the growing tension and uncertainty in the region, which call into question the safety of passengers and crew.

In a letter to the aviation business, the CAA has requested that airlines reassess the risks in operating flights to Tel Aviv, Beirut, Erbil, and Tehran, and submit their decision by June 18, 2025. A formal warning (NOTAM) regarding flights in this area is also pending.
