The Bulgarian-Czech Chamber of Commerce has joined the European Federation of Bilateral Chambers of Commerce (EFBCC), the chamber itself announced. This decision opens a new page in the development of the organization, which is now part of an international platform for promoting economic relations and investments between European countries. EFBCC, founded in Geneva in 2017, unites dozens of bilateral chambers of commerce.

Membership in this influential organization will provide the Bulgarian-Czech Chamber of Commerce with access to an extensive network of partners, events, and initiatives. These resources aim to stimulate and expand bilateral cooperation between Bulgaria and the Czech Republic. The atmosphere in the chamber's office seems filled with anticipation for future projects.

"This is a significant step in the development of the Bulgarian-Czech Chamber of Commerce. Our joining EFBCC will enable us to present Bulgarian and Czech companies in a wider European context and will strengthen our position as a reliable business partner, which is an exceptional recognition just one year after the Chamber's establishment", shared Maxim Behar, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chamber.

EFBCC functions as a platform for exchanging experience and good practices between bilateral chambers in Europe. The organization supports projects in the field of investments, innovations, sustainable development, and international trade. Membership will allow the Bulgarian-Czech Chamber to actively participate in European initiatives and to protect the interests of its members at an international level.

Joining this prestigious network is seen as a clear signal of the international recognition that the Bulgarian-Czech Chamber of Commerce has managed to build in the short time since its creation, the organization itself emphasizes. In just one year, the Chamber has organized dozens of events and bilateral meetings that have contributed to strengthening business contacts between the two countries. The new membership will provide an opportunity for these initiatives to be placed on an even higher European stage.

The Bulgarian-Czech Chamber of Commerce was founded at the end of October 2024 in Sofia by a group of Bulgarian companies that have long-standing relationships and interests in the Czech Republic. Today, it has nearly 50 member companies from various sectors of the economy, and their number continues to grow steadily, the organization informs.

At the beginning of September, the Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry Doncho Barbalov held a working meeting with representatives of a delegation from the Czech Republic. During this meeting, opportunities for deepening the partnership in the mining and processing industry were discussed. Representatives of Bulgarian and Czech institutions involved in the field of energy and raw material extraction participated in the meeting. "The expansion and deepening of cooperation in the trade-economic and investment field is in the interest of both countries and will contribute to the creation and maintenance of active links between representatives of Bulgarian and Czech businesses", Barbalov said then.
