For the third consecutive year, Bulgaria is participating with a national stand, organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food (MAF), at the international exhibition for wine and spirits “ProWein 2026“, which takes place from March 15-17 in the German city of Düsseldorf. This is reported by the ministry.

At the Bulgarian stand, which this year covers an area of 200 sq. m., 20 Bulgarian winemakers are presenting traditional wines from local varieties such as Mavrud, Rubin, Misket, Gamza, Dimyat, Tamianka and others.

During the opening of the stand, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food, Ivana Murdjeva, who leads the Bulgarian delegation, met with Bulgarian producers and pointed out the need for a national marketing strategy for the promotion and advertising of Bulgarian wines. She also emphasized the importance of developing a sustainable variety structure with an emphasis on local varieties.

This year, our country is again presented with a rich selection of wines from the different wine regions. A special tasting zone has also been set up at the national stand, where visitors can get acquainted with the characteristic qualities of Bulgarian wine production, the MAF informs.

The “ProWein“ exhibition is the largest international event for wine and spirits in the world. It brings together producers from the leading wine regions and provides a platform for professional meetings, exchange of good practices and presentation of new trends in the sector.
