For the first time, Bulgaria will host the World Jet Ski Championship, having won against traditionally strong countries in this sport such as France, Italy, Czech Republic, and Belgium.
The attractive competition will be held in Burgas, and Mayor Dimitar Nikolov confirmed the readiness of our city to be a co-organizer of the event together with the local club “Aquatrax Racing” and the Bulgarian Motorboat Sports Federation.
The chairman of the federation, Todor Hristov, emphasized the importance of the event for the region – both for the economic effect and for international advertising, and thanked for the successful cooperation with the Municipality over the past five years.
The competition will be held under the patronage of Mayor Dimitar Nikolov, and the club “Aquatrax Racing” will be responsible for the sporting part of the event.
Over 300 participants from all over the world will take part in the race, and spectators and fans are expected to exceed 5,000 people every day.
The event will be accompanied by a rich cultural program, which will attract both competitors and tourists, popularizing the jet ski sport and the hosting of Burgas.
A special media team from “Eurosport” will broadcast the competitions live, and the audience worldwide will exceed 100 million viewers.
Sarafo's beach was approved for the event thanks to its excellent logistics, natural features, and opportunities to ensure the safety of spectators and participants. The dates are already fixed in the international calendar – from July 8 to 12, 2026.
