National Cybersecurity System: Key Results
The project "Enhancing national capabilities for coordination and incident response related to cybersecurity" is progressing according to plan. With a budget of 82.758 million euros, the initiative aims to protect the administration from modern digital threats.
By the end of June 2026, 95% of the allocated funds have been utilized, and hardware equipment has been delivered to 48 out of a total of 50 key administrative bodies.
What does the infrastructure include?
- Construction of a secure shared information space.
- Server infrastructure and data backup systems.
- Protection for over 30,000 endpoint devices in the state administration.
According to Minister Ivan Vasilev, following a period of delay during the caretaker government, the project has received the necessary momentum. Currently, final functional tests are being conducted, and preparations are underway for full operational deployment, which will ensure a high level of network security for the country's key institutions.
