Bulgaria highly values open and constructive exchange with Jordan, a willingness that was confirmed by a meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs Georg Georgiev and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Dr. Ayman al-Safadi.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) announced the meeting, which took place within the framework of the Leadership Meeting on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference in Al-Ula, Saudi Arabia.

The atmosphere in the hall was filled with anticipation as the two diplomats began their discussion. The main topic of the conversation was the deepening of bilateral relations, with an emphasis on the economy, trade, defense, and security. From the Bulgarian side, support was expressed for the organization of a business forum in Amman, which would stimulate contacts between business circles and support trade flows between the two countries.

The meeting confirmed the active political dialogue between Bulgaria and Jordan. Minister Georgiev expressed his gratitude to his Jordanian counterpart for the assistance provided in the evacuation of Bulgarian citizens and a Palestinian citizen from the Gaza Strip on September 29 this year. The visible gratitude on the part of the Bulgarian minister emphasized the importance of humanitarian cooperation between the two countries.

The two ministers also discussed the current developments in the Middle East. The first Bulgarian diplomat stated that Bulgaria supports Jordan's efforts for peace and security, emphasizing Jordan's key role as a guarantor of regional stability. "Jordan is a key guarantor of stability in the region and Bulgaria supports its efforts for peace and security," Minister Georgiev pointed out.

In response, Dr. Ayman al-Safadi extended an invitation to his Bulgarian counterpart for a bilateral visit to Jordan this year. He also expressed satisfaction with the dynamics of bilateral relations, emphasizing the importance of friendship between the two countries and the willingness for further cooperation in all areas. "Jordan values its friendship with Bulgaria and is ready to deepen our cooperation in all areas," said Deputy Prime Minister al-Safadi.

In other news, Minister Georgiev emphasized the maintenance of an active dialogue with Qatar and Oman, speaking a few days ago in New York. He noted the excellent traditions in relations with Qatar and emphasized Bulgaria's gratitude to Oman for its assistance in the rescue of the sailors kidnapped on the ship "Galaxy Leader" in the Red Sea.
