In an official meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the State Minister of Qatar, Sultan bin Saad Al-Mureihi, was received by Bulgarian Foreign Minister Georgi Georgiev to conduct the next interstate political consultations.
The diplomatic meeting was led by Deputy Minister Maria Angelieva, who emphasized the significance of the upcoming celebration of the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 2025.
During the plenary session, opportunities for deepening interaction in key sectors, including economy, energy, defense, security, culture, education, tourism, and transportation, were discussed in detail.
Among the main highlights was the preparation of the Third Session of the Mixed Bulgarian-Qatari Commission for Economic and Technical Cooperation. Experts defined this format as an extremely effective mechanism for promoting direct business contacts between companies from both countries.
The Bulgarian side presented a detailed presentation on the interaction between the State Cultural Institute and Qatari partners, assessing the potential for future cooperation as extremely promising.
In the final part of the consultations, both delegations confirmed their mutual interest in activating bilateral relations through joint participation in international events and initiatives.
The diplomatic meeting reinforced Bulgaria and Qatar's intention to develop a constructive dialogue and seek new opportunities for mutually beneficial partnership in various fields.
