Large-scale operation by BFSA: 174 tons of food destroyed

In the period from June 22 to July 21, 2026, the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency (BFSA) conducted 12,185 intensive inspections in food production, processing, and distribution facilities. The results reveal serious safety gaps in the products offered.

A total of 174,092.387 kg of food of animal and non-animal origin have been seized and directed for destruction.
