Biomreja Association held a closing conference for the FOODWISE project, funded by the INTERREG NEXT Black Sea Basin 2021–2027 program, in which Pomorie Municipality actively participated. 59 representatives of organizations from Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey, and Georgia participated in the conference.
During the conference, the Black Sea Network for Food Waste Prevention was officially launched, with 18 public organizations and 4 non-governmental structures from four countries joining it. Among the participants is also Pomorie Municipality.
The network will facilitate the exchange of knowledge, joint activities, and long-term partnership in the fight against food waste. It will also contribute to raising awareness in the Black Sea region. In this way, various organizations, educational institutions, and young people seeking sustainable solutions are once again united.
With gratitude for the good cooperation so far, Pomorie Municipality also received a letter of thanks from the association.
The FOODWISE project is part of Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin CBC and is co-financed by the European Union.
