On November 1, 2025, Saturday, Orthodox Christians commemorate Archangel's Saturday of the Dead - a day dedicated to honoring the memory of all the deceased. This date is observed with particular sorrow and reverence, as tradition dictates paying respects to the dead with prayers and memorials.
In this regard, Pomorie Municipality is organizing additional free transportation to the Cemetery Park, providing an opportunity for the residents of the municipality to honor their relatives, the deceased. The aim is to facilitate access to the place of eternal rest, especially for the elderly and those who do not have the opportunity to use personal transport.
The transport lines are carefully planned to cover different points in the city, ensuring easy access for all those who wish to attend.
The first bus will depart from the "Lazur" stop, in the Sveti Georgi district, at 07:30. After the services and memorials in the Cemetery Park are completed, the bus will return to take people back to the starting stop at 08:45.
The second bus will depart from the "Russian Monument" stop at 08:00, with the return from the Cemetery Park to the same stop scheduled for 09:15.
The organization of free transport demonstrates the local authorities' care to provide an opportunity for all residents to participate in this important religious rite. The atmosphere of this day is usually filled with silence and humility, and many people gather to pay their respects to their loved ones.
