A specialized police operation of the GDBOP was conducted on May 28, 2025 in the town of Oryahovo, under the supervision of the District Prosecutor's Office - Vratsa. Nine people were detained for up to 24 hours under Article 72 of the MIA Act on suspicion of participation in an organized crime group engaged in the distribution of narcotic substances. Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated for a crime under Article 321, paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.
In the course of the investigation, searches were carried out at 10 addresses and 4 vehicles. Narcotic substances, scales, mobile phones, cash, and 2 gas pistols were seized. Examinations are to be appointed, and the questioning of witnesses continues.
