Andrey Gyurov Discussed the Priorities of the Caretaker Cabinet with EU Ambassadors

The caretaker Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov met with the ambassadors of the EU, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland. He presented the cabinet's priorities, emphasizing fair elections, the stability of the state, and cooperation with European partners.

The caretaker Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov held a working meeting with the ambassadors of the member states of the European Union (EU), the United Kingdom and Switzerland, as well as with the head of the Representation of the European Commission in Bulgaria. During their conversation at the Council of Ministers, Gyurov presented the priorities of the caretaker cabinet.

First and foremost, Gyurov pointed out the government's commitment to holding fair elections. He emphasized the importance of citizens' trust in this process. Gyurov was categorical that in its actions regarding the organization of the upcoming early vote, the cabinet should strictly adhere to the law. The goal is for the elections to be conducted professionally, transparently and according to the rules.

Andrey Gyurov added to the priorities the responsibility of the caretaker government for the stability of the state and ensuring the effective functioning of the executive branch. He recalled that the caretaker cabinet is working to strengthen the rule of law and increase trust in the institutions.

Gyurov noted the constructive dialogue and cooperation with European partners. He thanked for the support for joining Schengen and the Eurozone, and confirmed that Bulgaria is a reliable partner.

The complex international situation, including the situation in the Middle East and the war in Ukraine, were also discussed at the meeting.

Gyurov stated that the work of the caretaker cabinet will be to achieve several goals and defined as the most important - to restore people's trust.
