An American diplomat arrives in Rome for a key meeting with Zelensky

A high-ranking American diplomatic representative is preparing for a large-scale diplomatic event in the Italian capital, which will have a significant impact on the future of the Ukrainian state. Kit Kellogg, special envoy on Ukrainian issues, will arrive in Rome for a two-day conference organized by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.

The forum, scheduled for July 10 and 11, will bring together leading global political figures, including Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

The composition of the American delegation remains partially unknown. Neither the State Department nor the White House have provided official details about the other participants from the American side.

Expectations are that the meeting will generate significant diplomatic results related to defense agreements and strategies for Ukraine's recovery. President Zelenskyy has already hinted at upcoming important arrangements with international partners.
