Border authorities report intensive traffic and specific crossing conditions at various border checkpoints during the morning hours. According to official information from the General Directorate of Border Police, the situation at state borders is characterized by relatively normal movement.
At the Bulgarian-Serbian border at Kalotina border checkpoint, significant passenger car traffic has been registered. At the same time, movement through the Stanke Lisichkovo border checkpoint with the Republic of North Macedonia has been restored after a temporary interruption related to asphalt works in the border zone.
Border experts report standard passage mode towards Romania, with only a special organization introduced at the Danube Bridge near Ruse. Due to ongoing major repairs on the Bulgarian section, traffic is being conducted in only one lane under the control of the executing team.
Border crossings with Turkey are functioning under standard conditions. Partial restrictions have been introduced at the Greek border - only passenger vehicles and minibuses weighing up to 3.5 tons are allowed through the Makaza, Zlatograd, and Ivaylovgrad crossings.
Construction activities are ongoing on the Rudozem-Xanthi road section from the Greek side. Local authorities have secured the terrain by placing warning signs prohibiting access to outsiders at the construction site.
