With a solemn concert at the State Opera Burgas, SU „Dobri Chintulov“ celebrated its 80th anniversary. The event brought together students, teachers, and official guests in a crowded hall, turning the celebration into an emotional symbol of continuity and long-standing traditions.
Official guests and recognition of the school's role
Among the official guests were Deputy Mayor for Education Mikhail Nenov, representatives of educational institutions, as well as directors of schools and kindergartens from the municipality. On behalf of Mayor Dimitar Nikolov, a congratulatory address was read, which emphasized the role of the school as a guardian of Revival-era values and an example of quality education for eight decades now.
The director of the educational institution, Ruska Ivanova, emphasized that the 80-year history is the result of the efforts of generations of teachers and students.
A wealth of music and dance
The festive program impressed the audience with a huge variety of genres:
- Dance formations presenting Bulgarian folklore;
- Musical ensembles performing Strandzha folk songs;
- Classical works that added solemnity;
- Modern interpretations in pop and rock music.
Guardian of Bulgarian identity
Over the years, the school has established itself as an important institution for preserving Bulgarian traditions and spirituality. Through participation in folklore ensembles and cultural initiatives, students develop a deep sense of Bulgarian culture and respect for the heritage of their ancestors.
A special place in school life is taken by performances related to folk art, where music, dance steps, and rituals turn into a living lesson in history and identity. Director Ruska Ivanova emphasized that the concert is proof of the institution's living spirit – a combination of creativity, the pursuit of knowledge, and respect for traditions, declaring readiness for future development.
