57 Fires and 90 Incidents in the Country in 24 Hours, One Injured

Over the past 24 hours, firefighters responded to 90 calls and extinguished 57 fires. One person was injured in a fire in Pomorie, caused by the apartment owner. 20 people were evacuated during a tire fire in front of a residential building in Sofia. 28 rescue operations were carried out and 5 false alarms were registered.

Over the past 24 hours, specialized units in the country have extinguished 57 fires and responded to 90 incident calls, according to the General Directorate "Fire Safety and Population Protection".

One person was injured in the fires.

At 3:21 p.m. yesterday, a fire alarm was received by the Operational Center at RDPBZN-Burgas regarding a fire in an apartment in the town of Pomorie. One vehicle was dispatched to the scene. The apartment owner, a 58-year-old man, set it on fire and was injured with burns to his face and hands. 

At 11:02 p.m. yesterday, a call was received by the Operational Center at SDPBZN regarding a burning tire in front of the entrance to an eight-story residential building in Sofia, residential complex "Suhata Reka". Four fire trucks, 1 mechanical ladder and an ambulance from SDPBZN were dispatched to the scene. As a result of the heavy smoke in the entrance, 20 people were evacuated. There were no injuries.

19 fires resulted in direct material damage.

38 fires occurred without material damage.

28 rescue operations and support operations were carried out.

There were five false calls.
