51 fires in 24 hours: One dead and one injured in incidents across the country

A total of 51 fires were extinguished in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours. Firefighters responded to over 100 emergency calls, with one incident in Sunny Beach ending in tragedy.

Fire Department Assessment: 51 Extinguished Fires

Over the past 24 hours, teams from the General Directorate for Fire Safety and Civil Protection (GDFSCP) have responded to a total of 119 incident reports. As of 6:00 a.m. this morning, information indicates that 51 fires have been successfully extinguished.

Fire crews have carried out 66 rescue activities and auxiliary operations, with two false alarms also recorded.

Serious Incidents in Varna and Sunny Beach

A major fire broke out in a building materials warehouse in the town of Valchi Dol, Varna region. A 61-year-old man suffered minor burns while attempting to extinguish the fire, which was caused by a short circuit. A woman and three children were evacuated from an adjacent house.

A tragic incident was also recorded at the "Sunny Beach" resort. During a fire at the Zenith Hotel, one person died, and 121 people were successfully evacuated from the building.
