50 Fires Extinguished in the Country in a Day: Firefighters Responded to 89 Calls

Firefighters in Bulgaria extinguished 50 fires in the last 24 hours, responding to 89 calls about incidents. There is an injured man in a fire in Simeonovgrad and children were evacuated from a school in Vladimirovo. A fire also broke out in a hotel in Varna.

Over the last 24 hours, 50 fires were extinguished in the country, the General Directorate for Fire Safety and Civil Protection (GDPSCP) announced. Firefighting teams responded to a total of 89 incident calls.

During a fire in a one-story house in Simeonovgrad, an 80-year-old man suffered burns on his hand, but his life is not in danger. He was transported to a hospital.

Yesterday, a report was received about a fire in a school in the village of Vladimirovo, Boychinovtsi municipality. 208 children were evacuated before the arrival of the fire teams.

A fire also broke out in a hotel in Varna. The fire affected a photovoltaic controller in the attic space. The hotel was not operational at the time of the fire.

13 of the fires resulted in material damage, with nine of them occurring in residential buildings. Over the past 24 hours, 36 rescue operations and support operations were carried out, including one during a car accident.
