353 First-Graders in Nessebar – A Record!

A record number of 353 first-graders started the 2025/2025 school year in the Nessebar municipality. The most children are in the primary school "Lyuben Karavelov" (120). Mayor Nikolay Dimitrov wished the students a successful year.

A record number of 353 first-graders crossed the threshold of schools in Nessebar municipality, marking the beginning of the new 2025/2025 academic year. This is an unprecedentedly high figure, testifying to the dynamic development of the region and the growth of the child population.

The distribution of the children among the different schools is as follows:

The school year was officially opened in the nine schools of the municipality. To the sounds of the Bulgarian anthem, the national flag was raised, outlining the solemn nature of the event. The atmosphere was filled with excitement, and the faces of teachers and parents radiated expectation and hope. Representatives of the municipal administration, on behalf of the mayor of Nessebar, delivered congratulatory addresses, filled with best wishes for a successful and fruitful academic year.

Mayor Nikolay Dimitrov attended the ceremony at SU "Lyuben Karavelov", traditionally the place for his participation at the beginning of the school year. In his welcoming speech, he wished the students a successful school year, filled with meaning, wisdom, creation, and joyful moments. Dimitrov emphasized the commitment of the municipal administration to ensuring an optimal working environment, modern, functional, and comfortable infrastructure for the educational process through the active renewal of the existing educational base. His words were met with approval from those present.

After the official ceremonies, the youngest students – the first-graders – were solemnly introduced to the school buildings. The scene was filled with children_q_s excitement and anticipation. Small hands held flowers, and their eyes were directed at their first teachers. With emotional tension, they followed the steps of their teachers, taking the path to the classrooms. Each child received a gift – a book and a certificate from Mayor Nikolay Dimitrov – a symbol of welcome and wishes for a successful start to their school journey.

The solemn beginning of the school year also encompassed the eleven kindergartens in Nessebar municipality, adding another emotional touch to the celebration of knowledge. There, too, the atmosphere was filled with joy and anticipation for the new challenges and adventures awaiting the youngest.
