20 Years of the Commission for Protection Against Discrimination: Ceremony at the National Archaeological Museum and Awards for Accessible Environment

A special ceremony was held at the National Archaeological Museum to mark the 20th anniversary of the Commission for Protection Against Discrimination (CPD). Awards for accessible environment were presented to BTA, the National Theatre, and Burgas Municipality.

A special ceremony at the National Archaeological Museum marked the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Commission for Protection against Discrimination (CPD).

The Chair of the CPD, Elka Bozova, emphasized that the institution is an example of an organ with broad powers in the field of human rights protection. The Chair of the National Assembly, Raya Nazarayan, noted that the CPD has established the understanding that discrimination has no place in a free society.

Congratulatory addresses were sent by the President Iliana Iotova and the Ombudsman Velislava Delcheva.

At the event, awards for accessible environment were presented. BTA, the Ivan Vazov National Theatre, and Burgas Municipality received awards for their efforts.

The ceremony concluded with special musical performances.
