A serious accident between a truck and a passenger car near Byala Slatina, there are casualties.

A heavy accident between a truck and a passenger car occurred on the road from Byala Slatina to Knezha, reported the European Transport Policy Center (ETPC). The incident happened in the area of the Rampata locality, near Byala Slatina. The semi-trailer of the heavy vehicle entered the lane of the oncoming traffic and hit the car coming from the opposite direction.

The driver of the oncoming car had no chance to react and crashed into the trailer. He was transported to a hospital in Pleven. The woman and child traveling with him were less seriously injured. According to preliminary information, the passengers from the car have broken limbs.

According to the initial inspection, the cause of the accident was a speed that was not adjusted to the road conditions. All trucks of the transport company, whose truck crashed into a gas station after the driver lost control due to the wet road, are being checked.

Another serious road incident also occurred earlier between Montana and Vidin, where on a sharp turn near the village of Dolna Verenitsa, the driver of a tractor-trailer lost control of the truck, which blocked both traffic lanes in the section. This incident also resulted in seriously injured people.
