The government is accelerating the energy modernization of residential buildings with new 50 million leva.

The Minister of Regional Development and Public Works, Ivan Ivanov, announced that by the end of the year, the first 50 million BGN will be allocated for the second stage of the National Program for Energy Efficiency of Residential Buildings. He emphasized that the process of implementing the Investment Program for Municipal Projects will not stop and the responsible directorate is actively working on the necessary documentation.

Today, 49 new agreements worth 82 million BGN were signed at the Ministry for the implementation of various projects in 24 municipalities. Minister Ivanov called on the mayors to be active in the implementation of the procedures, so that the maximum number of blocks can be renovated with European funds. He informed that the construction of the "Europe" motorway, which will be completed by the end of the year, is on schedule, and work will be done to complete the drinking water treatment plant in Sliven.

The Minister also commented on the progress in the construction of the Mezdra - Botevgrad road, ordering that passability along the route be ensured by the end of June. The Mayor of Mezdra, Ivan Asparukhov, confirmed that the work on the project is progressing actively and he periodically checks the achieved progress.
