The police seized over 1100 canisters of laughing gas in Sunny Beach.

As a result of the specialized police operation carried out last night in Sunny Beach, employees of the "Economic" and "Criminal Police" departments at the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior in Burgas seized a total of 500 new nitrous oxide cartridges, 600 balloons, and 5 filling canisters. Five nitrous oxide sellers were detained, as well as several individuals using the substance in closed spaces of nightclubs.

Warning protocols were drawn up for the detained sellers to comply with the legal requirements - nitrous oxide should not be sold for use in enclosed spaces and to minors. The collected evidence will be handed over to the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Burgas and the Regional Health Inspectorate for appropriate action.

This is the second similar case of seized nitrous oxide cartridges in Sunny Beach in recent days. A few days ago, during another specialized operation, 300 cartridges, numerous balloons and canisters were confiscated, and two nitrous oxide sellers were identified.

Checks for the illegal sale and use of nitrous oxide will continue throughout the entire summer season in all resort areas, relying on surprise inspections and previously gathered information.
