The Municipality of Sozopol is expanding innovative health and social services for vulnerable groups.

The Monitoring Committee of the Human Resources Development Program 2021-2027 approved criteria for a new operation that will improve the provision of integrated health and social services in a home environment for single-living persons with disabilities and elderly people unable to self-care. The activities will be carried out by the Complex of Social Services and Healthcare in Sozopol Municipality, with an expected support for 48 users.

On November 26, 2024, the Monitoring Committee of the Human Resources Development Program 2021-2027 approved the Criteria for the selection of the operation "Innovative health and social services" under Priority 2 "Social inclusion and equal opportunities". The purpose of the operation is to improve the provision of integrated health and social services in the home environment for needy self-living persons with disabilities and elderly people unable to self-care.

Eligible activities include the provision of hourly mobile integrated health and social services, specialized training of teams and supervision, as well as the development and provision of innovative remote services - telecare. Activities 1 and 2 are mandatory and are defined as services of general economic interest (SGEI).

The target groups under the procedure are self-living persons with disabilities and self-living persons of retirement age unable to self-care. So far, the activities under the project "Home Care in the Municipality of Sozopol" are being implemented by the Complex of Social Services and Healthcare in the Municipality of Sozopol.

The service "Innovative health and social services" is a continuation of the previous procedure and is a service of general economic interest, being assigned by the Municipal Council through the Mayor of the Municipality for implementation by the Complex of Social Services and Healthcare. The current procedure is expected to support 48 users - self-living persons with disabilities and self-living persons of retirement age unable to self-care.
